Amatsu | Body Alignment Clinic

Dublin 8

I’m an Amatsu Orthopath with over 20 years of experience receiving and now delivering Amatsu therapy.

At 18, I injured my lower back and began a long struggle with recurring pain — “putting my back out” twice a year, sometimes leaving me incapacitated for up to a week. This chronic cycle affected every part of my life: from dull morning headaches and sluggish digestion to persistent fatigue, heartburn, and candida. I accepted this as “normal,” but I worried about what state I’d be in by middle age. I felt helpless — until I discovered Amatsu.

The results were transformative. Recovery after an Amatsu balance was unlike anything I had experienced before. With the guidance of my practitioner, I shifted from using Amatsu reactively to using it preventively — supporting my body’s alignment before issues arose. I cleaned up my diet, began a daily walking routine, and became deeply aware of the power of posture and movement. Over time, my symptoms disappeared, and my health — physical, mental, and emotional — was completely transformed.

I continue to receive regular Amatsu balances and, in 2015, I began formal training in Amatsu, qualifying as an Orthopath (Kenku level) after a 5-year programme. In January 2019, I took a sabbatical from a fulfilling 25-year career in film production, opened my own Amatsu practice, and haven’t looked back.

My passion for wellness — physical, mental, and spiritual — is ongoing. I love sharing what I’ve learned with my clients. In 2019, I also completed a Higher Diploma in Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Therapy and became a registered member of both the Amatsu Association of Ireland (A.A.I.) and R.O.S.T.I. (Register of Orthopaedic Soft Tissue Therapists Ireland).

That same year, driven by my belief that “food is medicine,” I qualified in Raw Food Mastery through the Plant-Based Academy in Dublin. I continue to explore the healing potential of whole, plant-based foods and how they nourish both body and mind.

I believe how we move, what we eat, and how we nurture ourselves has a profound, holistic effect on our well-being. I practise Transcendental Meditation daily, and use Qi Gong, Yoga, and walking as my “movement medicines.” I’m currently completing my Health Qi Gong Instructor training and often weave this knowledge into client sessions — helping people reconnect with their body’s innate ability to heal. In particular, I focus on the role of the fascial matrix and the importance of postural alignment, balance, and movement.

Amatsu is at the heart of my practice — both as a tool for healing and for ongoing wellness.

As a registered R.O.S.T.I. practitioner, my treatments are approved by VHI, Laya, Aviva, and other major Irish health insurers.
