AAI Background

The Amatsu Association of Ireland is a trading name for the Amatsu Natural Health Company Limited By Guarantee (380234), which is a private company. All committee members are appointed voluntarily to act on behalf of the Association and are themselves registered members of the Amatsu Association of Ireland.

The Association’s purpose is to:

  • Promote national awareness and understanding of Amatsu as a therapeutic practice

  • Represent and support a professional community of Amatsu practitioners in Ireland

  • Develop and maintain guidelines and best‑practice standards for clinical work

  • Provide a public directory of practitioners recognised by the Association

  • Organise regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities

  • Uphold high standards of professional training and development within the field

All Full Member Therapists of the Association must:

  • Hold, at minimum, an Amatsu Practitioner qualification (Two years qualified practitioner training, including ANMA and Setai levels)

  • Maintain a current and valid Occupational First Aid certification

  • Attend CPD education twice annually

  • Hold comprehensive and current professional insurance

  • Adhere to the Association’s Code of Ethics and Code of Practice

While the Association has the authority to remove a therapist’s membership or recognition within the AAI, it does not have the legal power to prevent any individual from practising independently in Ireland.

Complaints Procedure

If you ever have concerns about the care you received from an Amatsu practitioner, we want you to know that you will be listened to and treated with respect. The Amatsu Association of Ireland has a formal Complaints Procedure designed to ensure that any issues raised are handled impartially, confidentially, sensitively, and in a timely manner. Our aim is to provide a transparent process that supports your wellbeing while upholding the highest standards of professional practice. You can learn more about how the procedure works here.
