My name is Linda Redmond and I am a qualified Amatsu Practitioner.

I have been practising since 2015 in Bandon, West Cork.

Amatsu is a gentle manipulative therapy which focuses on the realignment of the body focusing firstly on the pelvis.

Once the pelvis is realigned, we can start to work on the joints, muscles, ligaments and organs.

The theory is that stress put on the body by physical injury or mental/emotional stress cause the bones and muscles to move out of their natural alignment, which strains the ligaments.

Amatsu Therapy is a physical therapy founded on principles of natural movement called Tai jutsu and based on Japanese osteopathic techniques. It is a uniquely beneficial corrective treatment used to treat specific injuries or to re-establish alignment and symmetry to the body.

We are also trained to coax a strained musculo-skeletal system back into position and encourage body tone and co-ordination or balance, through the technique known as Seitai, the second level of training, which goes deeper into the ligaments.

The position of internal organs and the stability of the skeleton are checked, while the immune and nervous systems are also brought back into balance as part of the overall emphasis on holistic health. This level of Amatsu therapy is called Shinden. Lastly if a client needs it, Cranial Balancing may be applied.

As a whole-body holistic physical therapy, Amatsu is successful in treating a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses.
